This will make the job much easier for beginners. I used to have a bunch of machines that were running windows and worked fine with ripbot however since gaining a couple of servers im having trouble getting it to work within a VM. If you're not, we'd recommend a more user-friendly video conversion option, like Format Factory or Sothink Free Video Converter. I know most people use handbrake but I have come to really like ripbot and the functionalities it has especially the distributed encoding. Overall, we'd recommend RipBot264 if you are comfortable with encoding apps and you know you don't need too many fancy extras. It's fully set up for batch operations, and there are plenty of helpful options in this area. It's not spectacularly fast, but it does get the job done. Add the video file (or files), tweak the encoding options, and leave RipBot264 to do its job. Once you have RipBot264 up and running, it's easy to use and at least as user-friendly as the majority of similar programs out there.
#Ripbot264 distributed encoding access violation download
If you don't already have them, you'll need to download them separately, as instructed by RipBot264. Sometimes it will still work, but usually I will get 'access violation' errors on the server when the client tries to start it. I seem to be able to encode files quicker with my main machine on it's own then using distributed encoding. Welcome to Doom9s Forum, THE in-place to be for everyone interested in DVD conversion. Since the main machine is the client, does it not encode files at all Again, sorry if that's STUPID question.

There's nothing wrong with that - it handles lots of encoding profiles and options, batch operations, and works fast and smoothly - but it can be a little rough around the edges, and needs several codecs pre-installed. When using distributed encoding all of my servers seem to be encoding except my main machine/client (newer HP). RipBot264 is very mush a homemade program.
